A Basilica for Africa

A Basilica for Africa captures the historic dedication of the tallest Church in the world, Our Lady of Peace Basilica, in the West African country of the Ivory Coast on September 10, 1990. This half hour production tells the story of the vision and commitment of the President of the Ivory Coast , Felix Houphet-Boigny to construct a house for God. It captures the love that Pope John Paul II had for Africa which is demonstrated in his acceptance of the gift of this basilica for the Roman Catholic Church.
