Rejoice! Futuring Black Catholic Worship
Rejoice! Futuring Black Catholic Worship is an hour length documentary on the 270 million people of African Descent in the Roman Catholic Church bringing their Black culture into their expressions of worship. Four years in production, this documentary covers the development in worship in the United States, South America, the Caribbean, East and West Africa and Europe. The host of Rejoice! is Archbishop James P. Lyke, OFM, PhD of Atlanta , Georgia in the U.S.
Over 20 national and international leaders from the Black worship experience are interviewed in their worship settings around the world. Fr. Clarence Williams, CPPS, the producer-director points out, "This is the first Pan-African Roman Catholic television production. It celebrates the unique richness of people of African descent in the Roman Catholic Church."
